The Lakeside Garden
A large garden area with an new patio by a house and pool room as the first phase. Further phases to follow...
The client had asked for a way to get from the house to the new building but also for phase 2 will be a new patio area at the end of the building to overlook the lovely views they have.
The view back from the house far corner as the paving goes in....really love this paving; Stonemarket Lucent Ecru Vitrified....Lee and team of Habitat have laid it beautifully...
Its amazing how adding the paving just lifts the whole feel of the garden; the pointing you see is actually a very fine join- this is pre the clean off.
Tiered beds and terracing starting to appear; Lee has done an amazing planning job on the construction!
The new upper main patio area, this links to phase 1 works and now takes you all around the building and to other parts of the garden.
A newly opened up view is now there from house or pool room. The raised bed will have very soft and gentle planting in it.
Phase 2 ready for planting! The cladding is by London Stone, its porcelain like the paving ,but much thinner.
The paving now comes into the lower areas too, this really starts to pull the garden together and it flows far better than it did.
These steps were so slippy before- they were in old railway sleepers...they were cut out; new steps 'cast' in concrete and then paved in the external porcelain.
The tiered raised beds will have soft and blousey planting; the integral lights light the steps up to the pool room patio.
Bringing together old and new can work really well; especially when needing to link an old to a new building.
